Just back from another week in Iceland.....Jökulsárlón remains high on my list of places to go! Just stunning.

Tufts Medical Center in Boston, USA chooses Korcula Croatia scene as one of 15 landscape photographs through the Foundation of Photo/Art in Hospitals.

These images will be displayed in either the new state of the art digital mammography suite or in the physical and occupational therapy area for the patients to enjoy.

I am happy to support this non-profit organisation dedicated to placing colourful, soothing photographs of nature in hospitals across the globe to give comfort and hope to patients.

Enjoy the weekend all!

Thank you to Viewbug for selecting this long exposure image.

A recent trip to France took me to the Gironde Estuary where more than 400 fishing huts add to the picturesque landscape. The Gironde is a navigable estuary (often falsely referred to as a river), in southwest France, formed from the meeting of the rivers Dordogne and Garonne.

Wooden huts built on stilts, with a square-shaped pulley-operated net or ‘filet carré’, which has given the humble shacks their name ‘carrelets’.

Standing with the camera, mesmerised by the sheer force and the sound of the waves reminded me of Herman Melville’s Moby Dick:

Enjoy the weekend!

A dark stormy eve along the southwest coast of France, torrential rain approaching fast, so limited time to take this shot.

A long-exposure of around a minute gave me a captivating layered image of varying blues with the sand beach in the foreground. One of my personal favourites, I can gaze at this photo for hours!

The prestigious gallery is considered to be one of the best spaces positioned on the River Thames, in one of the most iconic cities in the world.

Overjoyed to be one of the photographers participating in this exhibition!

With great pleasure we would like to officially announce that our Landscapes by Women group secured a gallery space for our first ever joint exhibition.

As we all share the same passion for landscapes and photography, and we have a constant affair with light that turns our world into something magical, we called the exhibition Mistresses of Light.

The exhibition will take place in September 2015 in the OXO Gallery on the South Bank in London.

Stay tuned for more news as we get closer to the date. Congratulations to all the participants, and a big thank you to all who offered help with the preparations.

We also would like to thank all our followers for their constant support. It is much appreciated. It gives all of us, women in landscape photography our own voice...

An illuminating morning in the woods just outside Amsterdam. After an hour, the light radiated through the trees. Quite a magical moment.
